In hitting each ball the coach
should call out the name of the fielder for whom it is intended; failure to do
so will often mean indecision, frustration or even collision.
Each ball, whether fielded or
caught, should be returned, whenever possible, full pitch to the wicket keeper,
and the coach should hammer in that this, the final act of fielding is just as
vital as a stop or pick up.
